Helping Hands

VOLUNTEERING...

Discover@Kepplewray is always on the look-out for volunteers to show the buildings and grounds some TLC! Work undertaken by our volunteers ranges from gardening to administration, to helping with the ongoing maintenance and refurbishment of the building.  We welcome all volunteers and hope that we can help them as much as they can help us.

Student placements

We can offer College and University student placements and School work experience.  These are usually a week's duration but can be any length from a day to a month or more.  We have welcomed students from the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, the National Citizen Service scheme, Princes Trust, Millennium Volunteers, Universities, Theological Colleges, Furness College and individuals.

Work parties

We also form work parties to help with a specific project over a weekend or a few days.  We provide the accommodation and food - you provide helping hands. Groups who have taken up this opportunity include: Community Service, HMP Haverigg, Deutsche Bank, Princes Trust, St John's College Cambridge, family groups and individuals.

Please register your interest by calling 01229 716936 or emailing us at stay@kepplewray.org.uk if you are interested in volunteering in any way.
